Cinnamon

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), popularly known as Dalchini, is one of the most important and ancient spices in the world. It is widely appreciated for its sweet aroma, warm flavor, and numerous health benefits. The spice is obtained from the inner bark of the tree, which is carefully harvested and dried to form cinnamon sticks.

This evergreen tropical plant grows well in warm, humid climates and is suitable for cultivation in regions like Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Cinnamon plants are medium-sized trees that can also be maintained as bushes through regular pruning, making them suitable for both plantations and home gardens.

Cinnamon is highly demanded in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, making it a profitable crop for farmers and nursery growers.
